Please remember to bring a valid ID (a current identity card or passport). If you have chartered the boat on a bareboat basis, do not forget to bring the original copy of your boating license.

Yes, a valid sailing license is mandatory to take command of a sailboat or a catamaran. If you do not have a license, don't worry: you can rely on a professional skipper.

To navigate in Italy on Italian-flagged vessels, a recognized qualification is required. Italian authorities comply with international regulations and require a license issued by the skipper's country of citizenship. If you have any doubts about the validity of your license, the Sea Folk team is at your complete disposal to verify it for you.

We’ve got you covered! We can connect you with freelance skippers, hostesses, and stewards/cooks, so you can agree on the service details directly with them.

We strongly recommend using soft, foldable duffel bags that can be easily stored in the cabin lockers. Rigid suitcases or large trolley bags are inconvenient and difficult to place on board.

The ideal clothing for a boat holiday is sporty and comfortable. The item you will wear the most is definitely swimwear, along with cover-ups, t-shirts, and shorts.
The wind and navigation might require you to cover up a bit, so it is always useful to have a sweatshirt, a light windbreaker, or a rain jacket close at hand. In the evening, once the sun goes down or when anchored in a bay, the humidity increases: we recommend bringing a pair of long trousers and a long-sleeved top.
Shoes on board: In the summer, you will mostly go barefoot on the boat. During maneuvers or mooring, to avoid injury, it is important to wear clean sports shoes with white or light-colored rubber soles. The golden rule is to have one pair of clean shoes used exclusively on board, and another pair for when you go ashore.
In your toiletry bag, besides your classic hygiene products, don't forget a good protective sunscreen and an after-sun lotion. Wherever possible, we advise you to choose eco-friendly and biodegradable products to minimize the impact on the marine ecosystem.

A legally compliant first-aid kit is available on board all Sea Folk vessels (including band-aids, gauze, disinfectant, instant ice packs, etc.). However, we highly recommend bringing your personal medications and the most common over-the-counter remedies (e.g., for seasickness or antipyretics), as pharmacies are not always nearby during navigation.

When the boat is moored at the dock and connected to the shore power outlet, standard 220V power will be available to charge smartphones and PCs, and to use a hairdryer.
While sailing or at anchor: Most of our boats are equipped with active USB ports (12V) to recharge your phones at any time. On vessels equipped with a generator or an inverter, you will be able to use the 220V network even out at sea, including high-consumption appliances.

Catamaran: It is the ideal choice if you are looking for maximum comfort, stability, and spacious areas both indoors and outdoors (perfect for families or large groups).
Sailboat: It is perfect if you love the classic charm of navigation, close contact with the sea, adventure, and the pure pleasure of sailing.

Maximum freedom! You can choose from our recommended itineraries, ask our team for suggestions, or plan your stops in complete autonomy. If you are sailing with one of our skippers, you can check in with them day by day to decide the best route based on your preferences and the weather.

In the Mediterranean, the ideal season runs from April to October. The choice depends on what you are looking for: if you want warmth, nightlife, and long days, the months from June to September are perfect. If you prefer tranquility, relaxation, and cooler temperatures for sailing (along with more favorable rates), the low season (spring and autumn) will bring you great satisfaction.

During the high season months (July and August), the standard formula is weekly (from Saturday to Saturday). In the mid and low season, however, we are happy to organize weekends and short charters. Contact us to request a tailor-made quote!

The security deposit is a temporary hold to be placed at check-in via credit card (pre-authorization). The amount will be automatically released upon disembarkation after the boat has been inspected, provided there is no damage. On many boats, it is possible to request a "reduced deposit" option by paying a non-refundable management fee.

Safety comes first. The Sea Folk staff and our base managers constantly monitor the weather. With their perfect knowledge of the navigation areas, they will always be able to recommend the safest ports, shelters, and bays, ensuring you enjoy your holiday in total peace of mind even if the weather gets unpredictable.

Certainly. While you finalize the details with your travel companions, you can request a hold (option) on your chosen boat for a few days to block its availability.

You can check availability by contacting our booking office to receive a personalized offer tailored to your needs.

Payments are made via bank transfer. The terms are as follows:
A 30% deposit upon booking confirmation to secure the boat.
The remaining 70% balance due at least 30 days prior to the departure date.

In the event of a booking cancellation made more than 30 days prior to departure, Sea Folk will retain the deposit paid. If the cancellation occurs within 30 days of the departure date, the full amount of the charter will be retained. For complete details, we invite you to download the full document of our General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

At the time of booking, it is possible to take out an optional travel cancellation insurance policy. Contact our booking office to receive all the details and policy information booklets.

Absolutely, yes. Before departure, we will provide you with the direct contact details of our base manager at the boarding port to coordinate your arrival time, galley provisioning, and check-in.

Yes! All mooring nights at our boarding base are included in the price.

On your own: You can do your grocery shopping directly at the supermarkets and shops near the marina before boarding.
"Provisioning" Service (Galley on board): If you want a stress-free experience, you can take advantage of our online provisioning service. You can shop comfortably from home by choosing products from a list: our staff will take care of having everything delivered and stowed directly on board before your arrival.

Official delivery of the boat and the technical check-in are scheduled on Saturday starting from 5:00 PM.

Final disembarkation is scheduled on Saturday morning by 9:00 AM.
Please note: The mandatory return to the port is required by Friday evening at 6:00 PM. We advise you to check the fuel station's closing time in advance to ensure you refuel in time.

Early check-in at 2:00 PM is available upon request for an extra charge. The Sea Folk staff will do everything possible to hand over the boat to you as soon as it is ready.

No problem, the important thing is to let us know! Simply inform us of your estimated arrival time, and the port staff will be waiting to welcome you. If you arrive late at night, you can still step on board and spend the night; we will carry out the technical check-in the following morning at your earliest convenience.

Your main point of contact for the entire duration of the trip will be the Base Manager. They will assist and support you with any need, emergency, or request.

Before casting off, the Sea Folk technical staff will guide you through a detailed technical briefing to show you how the boat operates.

For payments and the security deposit at the base, we accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards.

Safety comes first. It is essential to promptly report any damage or breakdown directly to our Base Manager. This ensures you will receive the necessary technical assistance and the correct instructions on how to proceed.

Night navigation is not prohibited, but it requires the utmost caution. Please be very careful and ensure that the crew members in command have the necessary experience to navigate in the dark in total safety.

You are free to experience the sea however you prefer: you can spend the night at anchor in a bay, moor at a buoy field, or choose a port, depending on your preferences and holiday itinerary.

Leaving the boat completely unattended is not allowed if you are at anchor or in an unmanaged buoy field. At least one crew member must always remain on board. However, the boat may be left unattended if you are moored in a port or in a guarded/supervised buoy field.

Every Sea Folk boat is equipped with a complete kitchen inventory: cookware, utensils, tableware, plates, and glasses for the entire crew. In addition, you will always find a traditional Italian Moka pot on board and, where specified in the boat's technical sheet, a Nespresso or Borbone coffee machine.

Yes, pillows, sheets, pillowcases, and blankets are always included in the onboard equipment to guarantee your maximum comfort.
